FAQ
Changing the lamp:
- Turn off the projector and unplug it. Let the projector cool for at least 45 minutes. The hot lamp can burn you!
- Find the lamp cover on the projector and remove it by loosening the screws on it.
- Use a proper screwdriver to loosen the screws which secure the lamp inside the projector.
- Grasp the lamp by its wire handrail or handle plate and carefully remove it.
- At this point, always clean the projector and replace the air filter which provides air to the lamp.
- Install the new lamp according to the aforementioned instructions in the reverse order.
- Turn on the projector and turn the lamp operation counter to zero.
Changing a bare lamp without module:
- Turn off the projector and unplug it. Let the projector cool for at least 45 minutes. The hot lamp can burn you!
- Find the lamp cover on the projector and remove it by loosening the screws on it.
- Use a proper screwdriver to loosen the screws which secure the lamp inside the projector.
- Grasp the lamp by its wire handrail and carefully remove it.
- At this point, always clean the projector and replace the air filter which provides air to the lamp.
- Remove all impurities from the lamp module. If it is damaged, or if the connectors are oxidized, order a new complete module – you will thereby prevent and potential damage to the lamp or to the projector!
- Examine and remeber in detail the method by which the lamp is fastened in the module, and the method of clamping the connectors – or mark the original connection.
- If one of the connector parts is firmly fastened to the lamp, it will be necessary to disconnect it. Plug the cable eye to the end of the connector. The cable eye is included with the lamp.
- Carefully remove the old lamp from the module. Wear a glove when installing the new lamp. The glove is included with the lamp. Never touch the lamp with your bare hand!
- Insert the new lamp into the module and tighten the connectors.
- Install the new lamp according to the aforementioned instructions in Numbers 1 to 5 in the reverse order.
- Turn on the projector and turn the lamp operation counter to zero.

3D (Perception)
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Select "Projectors" on the drop-down menu under "Maintenance" under the main "File menu".
- On the Projector maintenance dialogue box click right on the desired projector and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu.
- Go to the Lamp bookmark and by pressing the "RESET" button reset lamp time.
3M
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Turn on the projector.
- Press the “RESET” button on the remote controller for at least 3 seconds and the dialogue window will appear.
- Select the “RESET” function.
- The counter is at zero.
A+K
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:-
Method 1:

- Press the "up arrow key" to select "Yes" and then press the "Enter" key. This resets the lamp time to "0".
- Press the "Menu" key to leave the setup menu.
CLARITY
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Press the "Menu" button to open the main menu.
- Press the cursor "Left and right" arrows to move to the "Status menu".
- Press the cursor "Up and down arrows" to move down to the "Lamp hour reset".
- Press the cursor "Right arrow" ot "Enter" the button.

COMPAQ
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Be sure the projector is turned OFF.
- Make sure all connections except the power cable are disconnected.
- Press and hold the "Menu" button on top of the projector while turning the projector ON.
- Connect the VGA cable to the projector. The OSD menu will appear, and “Service” will now be displayed as an option in the "Main menu".
- Select "Service" and press the "Enter/Accept" button on the top of the projector.
- Select "Reset Lamp Hours" from the "Service menu" and press the "Enter/Accept" button.

- Press the “RESET” button on the remote controller for at least 3 seconds and the dialogue window will appear.
- Select the “RESET” function.
- The counter is at zero .
EPSON
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Make sure, your projector is turned OFF.
- While holding down the projector's "Comp Sync +" and "Comp Tracking +" buttons, press and hold down the "Power button".
- After status light 1,2 and 3 flash ON and OFF at least three times, release the "Comp Sync +" and the "Power button".
- The flashing lamp status indicates that the lamp timer is reset.
EVEREST

INFOCUS
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:-
Method 1:
- Leave the projector OFF.
- Press the “Lower volume” button on the remote control, followed by “Increase volume” for at least 3 seconds.
- The green LED diode will light-up.
- Turn ON the projector.
- Select “BASIC MENU” with the remote controller.
- Press either the “SETUP” or “SERVICE” buttons depending on the model of the projector.
- Select “RESET LAMP TIMER”.
JVC
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Press the "Menu" button.
- Scroll down to the "LAMP TIMER RESET" option, scroll right to enter.
- Confirm that it is "OK" to reset the lamp timer by hitting the "OK" button.

Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- With the RPTV ON, press and hold the "MENU" button on the TV front panel.
- While holding that button, press and hold the "MENU" button on your remote.
- Hold both buttons for 5 seconds until the "Service menu" appears on the TV.
- Release the remote "MENU" button first, then the "TV MENU" button.
- While holding that button, press and hold the "MUTE" button on the remote.
- Press and hold the "ENTER" (or OK) button on the TV front panel.

- The message "Lamp 0000H" will display.

SHARP
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:-
Method 1:
- With the projector running hold the "Right cursor" key, "Down cursor" key and the "Enter" button down switch the mains power OFF.
- While still holding these buttons down power the projector back ON. It will take few seconds until the lamps lights up.
- When it does you should see "Lamp hours 0000".
- Hold "Vol DOWN" and "Adjust DOWN".
- Then switch ON using the main switch.
SONY
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Using the remote control while the unit is powered up, press “ENTER”, “ENTER”, “LEFT” and “ENTER” in sequence.
- A prompt will appear on the screen asking if you wish to enter the factory mode.
- Press the “UP” key on the remote and the unit is now in "Service mode". This sequence will add two new groups to the "Customer setup menu".
- Press the “MENU” button to view menu. Whenever the lamp is replaced, the lamp timer should be reset. With the unit in the “Factory mode", press “RESET”, “LEFT”, “RIGHT” and “ENTER” on the remote contol. Verify the lamp hours have been reset to zero in the "Service menu".
TOSHIBA
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Turn OFF the device by pressing the “ON/STANDBY” and unplug the power cord.
- In the meantime, hold down buttons “ON/STANDBY”, “MENU” and “INPUT and plug in the power cord.
- The lamp operation counter will automatically turn to zero.
- Check if the lettering “0H” appears on the "Lamp operation counter" in the status display.
- After the lamp operation counter has turned to zero, turn OFF the projector by pressing “ON/STANDBY” and unplug the device.

Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Turn the projector ON.
- Press the "Menu" button to display the "Main menu".
- Use the remote arrows to go to the "Presentation menu".
- Pressing the "Reset button" on the "Right arrow" button, dialog appears.
- To reset the lamp time, select the "Reset" using the "Right arrow" button.
XEROX
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Turn On the projector.
- Press the "Menu" button to display the OSD (on screen display) "Main menu".
- Use the remote arrow "Down" to go to the "Management menu" and press "Enter".
- In the submenu "Management menu" use the arrows and go to "Lamp reset".
- Use the "Right" arrow and press "Enter" key on the "Reset to default setting".
- The lamp timer is reset, use this function only when you're replacing new lamp.
YAMAHA
Reset the lamp counter hours of operation for the projector:- Turn the projector ON.
- Press the "Menu" button to display the OSD "Main menu".
- Use the remote arrows "Left/right" to go to the "Initial" and press "Enter".
- In the submenu "Initial" use the arrows and scroll to "Reset" and press "Select/Enter" key.
- From the submenu choose "Lamp running time" and confirm same way.
- Lamp timer is reset. Use this function only if you're replacing the lamp!
